Songtrust is the world's largest global royalty collection service and publishing administrator, enabling over 150,000 songwriters and over 20,000 publishers to collect their publishing royalties worldwide for over 1,000,000 copyrights. Our industry-leading online solutions help songwriters, artists, managers, labels, and publishers simplify music rights management including the administration of music publishing assets, performing rights, and digital licensing.  

We are seeking a Music Publishing Associate to join our Inbound Sales team to qualify, hand-off and convert leads within our sales funnel through basic outreach (email, SMS, social media, calls & webinars) and online research. You will be responsible for achieving certain metrics each month around number of leads engaged, handed-off to Specialist and converted onto the platform. You will also lead a set number of virtual webinars each month to educate leads on music publishing and basic Songtrust operations.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience managing lead lists and meeting sales quotas. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with leads, from first contact until you convert the lead or hand them off. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth. Responsibilities:

  • Convert leads through basic outreach (email, SMS, social media, calls) and one-to-many events (webinars)
  • Identify leads that qualify to be handed-off to Specialists through research and engagement efforts
  • Log activity and update lead data within the CRM 
  • Consistently meet conversion and hand-off quotas
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assess clients needs and provide assistance and information on product features
  • Address inbound inquiries in order to qualify or disqualify prospective leads
  • Manage leads through the sales pipeline from first contact to conversion/hand-off
  • Achieve or exceed department’s sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
  • Develop subject expertise on music publishing to support absolute confidence in Songtrust’s position as brand leader
  • Stay up-to-date with the music publishing industry and monitor competition
  • Collaborate with Specialists to identify ideal prospects
  • Follow correct usage of CRM and other sales applications
  • Provide customer feedback to help better improve client experience

You are/Have:

  • High level of respect and empathy for clients/customers of all sizes
  • 1-3+ years of Sales experience
  • Experience managing, organizing and prioritizing high volume of leads
  • Self-motivated and target driven with proven track record of success
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback

  • KPI obsessed
  • Music business/tech interest
  • Experience configuring Hubspot and or other MPAAS CRM’s for Sales
  • Music publishing knowledge
