Dani Senior is a London based platinum selling songwriter, artist, vocal producer and DJ. She is notable for her versatile writing style and has written across a range of genres. As a leading light in the dance-pop arena she has recently featured and toplined on EDM hit singles such as 'Run This Town' for OFFAIAH ft. Shenseea (Positiva UK/Interscope US), nominated for Best Single at the Urban Music Awards this year, 'Tell My Heart' for Nora En Pure (Spinnin’) and 'Need to Feel Loved' with Sander van Doorn & LVNDSCAPE (Spinnin’). Dani was also behind the UK hit with Gareth Malone for The Choir for the lnvictus Games, 'Flesh and Blood'. October 2016 saw the release of the Korean superband TWICE’s album, for which she co-wrote the official fan single 'One In A Million'. The album sold a record-breaking 36 thousand units in one day. It hit #1 in 8 countries and #3 in the Billboard US World Charts becoming the biggest album of the year in South Korea selling almost 700,000 copies. Since its release, it has returned to the top of the charts a record-breaking three times!
Dani began her career as an artist signed to AATW/Universal in the UK, collaborating with critically acclaimed artists such as Plan B and Wretch 32. Her first single release as a songwriter for Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai (Honey Trap) was the HIT FM Annual Top 100 Chart #1. The album to follow was the best-selling female album in Taiwan of that year, and went Platinum. Since then Dani has written on several top selling J Pop/K Pop and Cantopop albums for the likes of SHINee (#1 in the Oricon album chart), Kara (#6 on the Oricon album chart), and Femm (‘Kiss The Rain’) touted as ones to watch for 2016 by the Huffington Post - the album charted on the US Billboard World Albums Chart at #10. As an EDM vocalist, Dani has written and featured on a string of tracks for the likes of Michael Gray, The Wideboys and Burns.
Other songwriting credits include: the MTV American teen comedy series Awkward ('Heart On Loan’), British rapper and BBC1Xtra broadcaster Amplify Dot (‘Outlaw’), Polish superstar Honorata Skarbeck (’Street Drug’) - album certified Gold, Danish Eurovision competitors Anti Social Media (‘More Than A Friend’), German critically acclaimed band Jonah (‘Deep Deep Blue’), and Lin Yu Chun ('Safety Net) - this song was used as part of a government campaign for peace in Tawain), and French electronic duo The Lumberjacks (‘Warrior’) - top ten dance hit in France), amongst other song placements.
Dani Senior is a graduate in English Literature - her second passion, and says that It serves as a great lyrical base for songwriting. She also studied Speech and Drama at LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art).
