11th Street Records

Located at the corner of Fremont and 11th in Downtown Las Vegas, 11th Street Records is a hub for music fans, vinyl collectors, musicians, and their audiences.

They believe record stores are important because of what they’ve meant to any music scene that ever meant anything.

11th Street Records was established in 2014, to provide a platform for independent artists to release their music and promote their careers. It has sold music from a variety of genres, including hip-hop, R&B, soul, reggae, and rock. 11th Street Records has worked with notable artists such as Erykah Badu, Nas, and Common, as well as emerging artists such as Jermaine Dupri, Lil Wayne, and Young Jeezy. In addition to releasing music, 11th Street Records has also produced and distributed DVDs featuring music videos and documentaries.

They seek to be the juxtaposition between artists and audiences. They want to help sell records for independent labels and bands and help independent bands make records.

They support bands coming through town on tour and do what they can to make sure they come back.

Vinyl Listening Parties

11th Street Records hosts vinyl listening parties every month at their store in Las Vegas. These events are free and open to the public. At the listening parties, guests can enjoy listening to a selection of vinyl records from the store’s collection, as well as enjoying some snacks and drinks. The events are a great way for music lovers to hear some great music, meet other music fans, and learn more about vinyl records.

The Lique

When you buy records at 11th Street you are part of those efforts, as well as supporting an industry of creative people producing art you can own and collect affordably, most of which is manufactured in the USA. There are lots of reasons to feel good about every vinyl record purchase you make, and there aren’t many things you can buy these days that deliver on so many levels.

This being Las Vegas, they know the community reaches far beyond the borders of their desert island. So no matter where you are from, if you love, listen to, collect, and/or make recorded music, they are part of the same scene.

Closing Thoughts

11th Street Records is such a special record store because it offers a wide selection of new and used records, CDs, and cassettes. They have a great selection of rare and hard-to-find albums, as well as popular releases. Their knowledgeable staff is always willing to help customers find what they’re looking for. What makes it stand out is that the store has an inviting atmosphere and a great selection of music-related merchandise, making it a great place to hang out and browse. When you’re next in Las Vegas, go and check them out.
